LIVE Pulse Lab, Possible Space + DJ Jori Hulkkonen & ODJ Harri
Perjantaina 12.12.2025 Klo 19:30.
Pulse Lab is a music project that fuses a captivating contrast of upbeat sound and melancholy, hope that aims to defeat despair, irony that questions the standards of the society.
In the album “Virtually Alive” vocalist and songwriter Dasha Larks explores the division between virtual reality and real life as well as the psychological impact that modern technologies have on people and human interaction. Some of the songs touch on current tendencies that may have an uncertain outcome in future such as “Grammy 4 AI”, “UR QR” and “The Pulse of the Machine”. The album title itself carries a double meaning of actually feeling alive either in a real or virtual environment and exposes a human longing to be accepted and valued by others.
Simon Mills, known for his work in the renowned UK electronica duo Bent, brings in ambitious nudisco, disco-house, electropop and elegant piano arrangements. Kiffie, a rising electronic artist from Norwich UK (whose music has been played on BBC6 and featured several times in the biggest electronic music magazine Electronic Sound) adds even more depth with his atmospheric synths.
This all, with Dasha’s sincere vocal delivery, makes Pulse Lab a compelling listen, which will surely stir a range of emotions and awake a wave of thought.
